David is a graduate student and teaching assistant in the Health Psychology program at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Working towards a career in psychology, David has parallel interests in holistic/integrated healthcare, existential reform, and environmentalism. With a long-standing passion for writing and a recently discovered enthusiasm for public speaking, he is determined to make a positive contribution to the global community. Having a diverse background in the empirical study of health, spirituality, and dreams, David’s doctoral dissertation will fall in the area of health psychology (with specifics TBD). In addition to his thesis, he continues to work on the development, measurement, and validation of a model of spiritual intelligence. Other interests within psychology include meaning-making, states of consciousness, sexuality and gender, and the self.
